So, I remember a little bit about the book.

The female main character (FMC) already knows the other woman (OW), (who I believe is the male main character’s (MMC) foster sister. They are both orphans; I think she was adopted, (but he was not) hates her.

FMC is planning a birthday party for MMC, but he has some trauma related to his birthday. During the party, FMC and MMC get into an argument, and either she decides to leave or he tells her to go.

OW is quite needy and often asks MMC for help, refusing to walk for three blocks without his assistance. I also think MMC is some sort of athlete, but I’m not completely sure about that.

Toward the end of the story, FMC’s sister is getting married. She talks to OW at the wedding, as OW comes to apologize. OW then asks if FMC wants her to sleep with the groom, whom FMC despises.
